What Happens After You Join a Token Waitlist
Joining a waitlist is a small act. You enter your number, you confirm, and
you are in line. But most waitlists go quiet after that first tap, and the
silence is where interest dies. So it is worth saying plainly what happens
next on the Embodier waitlist, step by step, so you know exactly where you
stand from the first minute.
You are on the list. Nothing else is required.
The moment your number is confirmed, your place is held. There is no
application to fill out yet, no documents to gather, no calls to take. The
waitlist is exactly what it sounds like: a list, in order, of people who
asked to be kept close while the program takes shape. You will not be
asked for anything you are not ready to give.
A text message confirms your place
Everything after signup arrives by text message. A short confirmation
tells you your place is held. From time to time after that, you will
receive brief updates: what the team is working on, which properties are
being studied, and when the next step opens for people on the list. The
messages are occasional and short. If you ever want them to stop, one
reply ends them.
This is deliberate. The phone is where the whole program lives. Signup,
updates, and eventually the application itself all happen through the
number you joined with. There are no passwords to remember and no accounts
to manage. Your number is your identity here, confirmed by a short code
sent to your phone.
Your place is held — no deposit is taken
There is no reservation deposit in this program. Not $100, not any
amount. Your place is held because you joined, in the order you
joined, and nothing is charged to hold it.
When a property's application opens, people on the list are invited
to apply in that order. The application is reviewed — identity,
eligibility, and your stated interest — and only if an engagement
actually begins is there a fee at all: a $500 service application fee,
refundable until a partner engagement begins.
That is the whole of the money story at this stage. No deposit, no
reservation payment, nothing held and nothing credited. If you change
your mind next week or next year, there is nothing to refund. You
simply leave the list, as simply as you joined it.
Education before anything else
Before any application opens, the waitlist is an education. Tokenized
ownership of real resorts is a new idea for most people, and new ideas
deserve plain explanations. Expect short pieces on how tokenization
works, how custody is handled by a licensed third party rather than by
Embodier itself, and what it means to hold a stake in a place rather
than a night in one.
None of this is advice, and none of it asks you to decide anything. It
is context, delivered in small pieces, so that when the time comes to
consider an application, you are deciding from understanding rather than
from momentum.
The whitelist and the application
When the program is ready for applications, the waitlist becomes the
whitelist. That word matters: it means people on the list are considered
before anyone else, in order. The application itself is straightforward —
identity verification, eligibility checks, and your stated interest. There
is no bidding, no rush, no pressure. The list exists precisely so that
nobody has to hurry.
What does not happen yet
It is equally important to say what the waitlist is not. Joining the
list is not a purchase, and no deposit or payment of any kind is taken
to hold your place on it. No tokens are issued, traded, or transferred
at this stage. Exchange trading and any secondary market activity remain
gated behind licensing. Unlocks with our pending El Salvador license
approval.
This is not a limitation to work around. It is the structure that makes
the program credible: everything that can operate today — onboarding,
education, and the waitlist itself — operates today, and
everything that requires a license waits for the license.
When the application opens
When a property's application opens, your place in line — held since
the day you joined — carries forward. You are invited to apply in
order; your application is reviewed; and if an engagement begins, the
$500 service application fee is the first and only fee of the process.
People who joined early are considered early. That is the entire reward
for being early: order, clarity, and a team that knows your name.
If you decide not to participate, nothing is owed and nothing is
returned — no money was ever taken. The list keeps your place only as
long as you want it. Leaving is as simple as joining was.
Stay. Own. Return.
The waitlist is the front door of a long idea: that the places you love
to visit could be places you partly own, held for decades, run
beautifully, never flipped. It starts with a number and a text message.
Everything after that is up to you.
